Liberty, because with it, I can choose if I want democracy,  or to simply rebuild the republic instead.

Liberty is most important. There is nothing from preventing a democracy from instituting tyranny. As a matter of fact, that is the fatal flaw of democracies.

@RobertLeeRE - @sometimestheycomebackanyway - @firetyger - @saturnnights - @blonde_apocalypse - It seems as though we do a lot more promotion of democracy than the real reason we exist as a nation...liberty. Doesn't it? We pay lip service to liberty as we watch it being taken away every day. Not that democracy isn't important...as long as we keep it in it's place. But it was democracy that voted in, by a large margin, the worst president in recent memory. Anyway thanks for answers and for noticing my seldom used (these days) xanga blog. Yes, there does come a time that everything need to be rebuilt. This is such a time maybe.

But the idea is lofty. What other solution though??. Everything is about money,  haves vs.  have nots. Have nots will not give up the purse strings they control without fight. Everything will disintegrete first before this happens. Probably best to just sit back a prepare for a bumpy ride, gathering berries and things to save to use later after the Apocolypse begins.
